Cross-domain integration is the starting point for intelligence.
Release time:2025-07-04
At the 2025 Qualcomm Automotive Technology and Cooperation Summit held in Suzhou from June 26 to 27, Huang Jinchang, Deputy General Manager of Desay SV's Intelligent Driving Computing Systems Business Unit delivered a speech titled Breaking Barriers, Enhancing Value. In the speech, he shared the company's forward-looking cross-domain integration solutions and technical concepts.
The spotlight shone on Desay SV during the summit, as a long-term strategic partner of Qualcomm. Our booth drew a big crowd with its range of cutting-edge smart cabin and driver assistance products and technologies. At a subforum, Dr. Zhang Shuhe, an expert from the AI Lab at Desay SV's Central Technology, gave a speech titled LLM-Driven Next-Generation Revolution in Automotive Cabins. Dr. Zhang took us on a deep dive into the innovative application of large language models (LLMs) in the smart cabin field.

Cross-domain integration: More efficient, flexible, and versatile
The electronic and electrical architecture (EEA) has evolved from a distributed architecture (EEA 1.0) to a domain-based architecture (EEA 2.0), and is advancing now toward a centralized architecture (EEA 3.0). The transition from EEA 2.0 toward 3.0 signifies that cross-domain intelligent integration is picking up speed.
Fundamentally, cross-domain integration is a system reconfiguration process that primarily involves restructuring at the computing, data, and functionality levels. Huang Jinchang outlined the three core objectives of this reconfiguration. (1) More efficient computing: Computational barriers between heterogeneous electronic control units (ECUs) are removed, which enhances the scheduling efficiency and utilization of computing power; (2) More flexible data management: Efficient data flows across different domains improve the ability to process real-time data and allow for more flexible data applications; (3) More versatile functionality: Service-oriented architecture (SOA) enables more flexible function combinations that meet the different needs of diverse application scenarios.
Efficient development: Reusable functions, systematic development, and enhanced security
Currently, OEMs face pressing challenges in upgrading their models and developing new products to meet consumers' increasingly diverse demands for automotive intelligence. Huang Jinchang pointed out that accelerating industrial transformation dictates faster cross-domain integration, and three key conditions must be met in order to implement efficient development.
Firstly, reusable functions are the core to greater system maturity. Building on its rich experience in the smart cabin and driver assistance, the software and hardware module reusability rate of Desay SV is as high as 90%. It greatly reduces development cycle times and enhances the maturity of cross-domain systems, so efforts can remain more focused on efficiently addressing differentiated challenges. Secondly, systematic development capabilities are the key to cross-domain integration. Desay SV boasts a highly systematic, engineered, and secure development system. Our full-stack development capabilities and rich cross-domain collaboration experience ensure that even the most complex projects are implemented efficiently and smoothly. Thirdly, safety protection is the lifeline of cross-domain integration. Desay SV has a "three-pronged" protection system that complies with the standard technical requirements for functional safety, safety of the intended functionality (SOTIF), and cybersecurity. Our core software modules including our proprietary AP middleware have all obtained a functional safety certification, providing comprehensive guarantees for product safety design, validation, and operations.
Three breakthroughs: Reduced costs, enhanced experiences, and efficiency improvements
As the market becomes increasingly competitive, OEMs need more efficient and flexible solutions tailored to their specific needs. Through intensive hardware utilization, software as a service (SaaS), and data sharing, Desay SV aids OEMs in achieving three major breakthroughs: reducing overall costs, enhancing innovation experiences, and improving development efficiency. Desay SV currently offers two cross-domain integration solutions. The One Box solution adopts a combination of Qualcomm's SA8255 and SA8650 SoCs, while the One Chip solution is equipped with the SA8775/SA8797 SoCs. We are especially proud that the Cabin-Cabin-Drive Domain Fusion solution powered by the SA8775 SoC is able to reduce domain control costs by about 20% compared with traditional solutions. The central computing platform backed by Snapdragon SA8797 streamlines wiring harnesses by more than 25%. It supports the deployment of full-scenario driver assistance systems and mainstream large-scale models, expediting the creation of intelligent scenarios.

In terms of smart cabin and driver assistance chip applications, Desay SV has a wealth of R&D and mass production experience and offers not only a comprehensive cross-domain product mix, but also secure and reliable platforms as well as full-stack collaboration capabilities. Huang emphasized that cross-domain integrated development does not mark the end of collaboration, but instead the beginning of intelligent innovation based on new collaboration models. Following the concept of "Full-Stack, Open, Fast-Implement," Desay SV will continue leveraging full-stack technology and working with partners to build a new collaborative ecosystem and accelerate the adoption of cross-domain integration technologies.
