Arbor Day丨Planting for a Sustainable Future

On the afternoon of March 12, with a gentle spring breeze and budding greenery, the Desay SV Carbon Neutrality Management Committee hosted the second “Low‑Carbon Month” tree‑planting event at Desay SV’s Huinan Industrial Park, under the theme “Planting Green for a Century.” Representatives from the Desay SV Executive Management Committee, the advisory group of the Carbon Neutrality Management Committee, along with our Top 10 Employees, Outstanding Contributors, Culture Ambassadors, Long‑Service Award recipients, and participants from the Star Program (our talent development initiative for recent graduates), joined together to mark our 40th anniversary. With shovels and water buckets, they planted vitality and hope into the ground.

Five saplings were given special meanings at the event: one represents our founding vision of “Intelligent Mobility with Unwavering Commitment” over the past four decades; the other four symbolise our four strategic pillars – “Fostering Synergy,” “Bold Global Expansion,” “Stabilising Our Core Business,” and “Expanding with Smart Innovation.” Managers from each group led their teams to backfill soil and water the saplings, rooting these symbols of our future direction in the park.

Last year’s trees blossomed in winter, turning into a popular photo spot across our campus. This year, as we celebrate our 40th anniversary, we chose a location at the park’s main entrance – not only as a welcoming statement, but also as a daily reminder of growth and legacy for everyone passing by. It reinforces that low‑carbon living isn’t about grand gestures; it’s found in small choices like turning off lights, printing double‑sided, and reducing single‑use tableware. As we often say, “We don’t need everyone to be an environmental warrior, but every small effort adds up to real change.”

Today, we plant new greenery – we plant vitality, and above all, hope; we plant responsibility, and above all, conviction. “Planting Green for a Century” is not just our event theme – it is our shared aspiration. Forty years of hard work have laid a solid foundation; a century‑old legacy is now within our reach. Every shovelful of soil and every drop of water today symbolises our continued commitment to take root, grow, and strive toward that long‑term goal. Through perseverance and dedication, we will make Desay SV as deeply rooted and ever‑flourishing as a mighty tree.

As these saplings take root and grow alongside our campus, they will witness Desay SV’s enduring vitality. May we also cherish every patch of green around us, champion environmental awareness, and embrace low‑carbon living in our daily lives.
