Desay SV Automotive recently announced that it will establish a joint laboratory with ON Semiconductor (NASDAQ: ON) to develop advanced autonomous driving solutions and products.

This strong alliance aims to strengthen strategic cooperation and provide an excellent technology platform to plan the next generation products, jointly promote research and experimentation on cutting-edge new technologies, as well as providing leading intelligent sensing solutions to major automotive OEMs.

Under the agreement, Desay SV will introduce the cutting-edge intelligent sensing technology and latest products from ON Semiconductor, as well as engineering resources including hardware and software, and technical support including localized product resource to shorten the company’s product development and verification cycle. At the same time, the two companies will invest resources to jointly conduct prospective product and technological innovation research in accordance with market application requirements. 

Desay SV currently has three major product groups, intelligent cabin, intelligent driving and Internet of Vehicles (IOV). In terms of intelligent driving, L3 autopilot products will be mass-produced in 2020 through cooperation with ecosystem partners. In the field of intelligent driving, the indispensable image sensor is also a core product line of Desay SV’s intelligent driving product group. At present, the company’s R&D team has brought together engineers from R&D bases in Huizhou, Nanjing and Singapore to form a strong international R&D team.
