Project Background:

Autonomous vehicles (AVs) are poised to revolutionize transportation by eliminating the need for human drivers. At the core of their operation is AI-powered navigation planning, a critical technology that enables AVs to navigate complex environments safely and efficiently. This technology integrates machine learning, sensor data, and advanced algorithms to allow the vehicle to make real-time decisions based on its surroundings.

We are seeking a motivated AI Navigation Engineer Intern to join our Planning and Control Team in the Autonomous Driving department. The intern will have the opportunity to work on diverse AI applications, ranging from navigation systems to simulation development. This role offers hands-on experience in applying cutting-edge AI techniques to solve complex challenges in autonomous driving technology.

Scope:

AI Model Development: Design and implement AI models for various autonomous driving applications, including but not limited to navigation, simulation, scenario generation, and behavior prediction. Work with state-of-the-art machine learning architectures to solve complex autonomous driving challenges.

  • Data Processing & Analysis: Process and analyze large-scale autonomous driving datasets to train and validate AI models. Implement data preprocessing pipelines and feature engineering techniques.
  • Research & Implementation: Stay current with the latest AI developments in autonomous driving. Prototype and implement new AI applications based on research findings and team requirements. Contribute to selecting the most suitable AI approaches for different problems.
  • Testing & Validation: Participate in testing AI models in simulation environments. Analyze model performance and contribute to improving navigation accuracy and reliability.
Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or or related field
  • Strong programming skills in Python
  • Knowledge of machine learning frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow)
  • Strong interest and passion for autonomous driving technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
