Project Background:
The automotive industry's growing focus on cybersecurity is driven by the integration of advanced technologies and connected systems in modern vehicles. As cars become increasingly reliant on software, internet connectivity, and autonomous features, they face heightened risks from cyber threats. Hackers can exploit these vulnerabilities to access vehicle controls, steal data, and compromise safety systems. Addressing these challenges is crucial to ensure driver and passenger safety, protect sensitive information, and maintain consumer trust in an evolving digital automotive landscape.
As part of the cybersecurity team, the student will work closely with experts on automotive cybersecurity R&D projects. The primary objective of this internship is to familiarize the student with automotive cybersecurity concepts, methodologies, and tools. The student will gain practical experience in one or few of the following cybersecurity domains:
- Embedded security solutions
- Software security
- Governance
- Security testing
Scope:
The scope of the internship will typically contain the following tasks:
- Learn about automotive cybersecurity knowledge
- Research on technology innovation in automotive cybersecurity domain
- POC and demo implementation of innovative ideas
- Assist in technical project development tasks
- Assist in testing, result analysis, documentation and reporting
- Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Students from Computer Science, Electronics and Electrical Engineering.
- Students should have a strong interest in cybersecurity, with a focus on automotive applications.
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles, network protocols, and programming languages (e.g., Python, C/C++) is preferred.
- Familiarity with automotive technologies and industry standards (e.g., ISO/SAE 21434, SAE J3061) would be advantageous.
