Desay SV Launches the World’s First Mass Producible Intelligent Computing Platform
On April 29th, Desay SV launched the first-generation ICP product - "ICPAurora", which is also the world's first mass producible intelligent computing platform in the automotive electronics industry.
Currently, there are hundreds of ECUs in a smart car. Different ECUs run different operating systems, application software, and make decisions independently to achieve different functions. However, with the advent of the era of "software-defined vehicles", higher energy efficiency, lighter weight, upgradeable software & hardware, and compatible standardization etc. will be the advanced direction of smart vehicle electrical architecture in the future.
The product derived from this is the ICP(Intelligent Computing Platform), based on central computing concept that realizes the central integrated control of automobiles through the flexible combination of modular pluggable hardware and software configuration.
The platform integrates multi-dimensional technologies for future evolution, and has the highly scalable advantages in terms of computing power improvement, function configuration, experience upgrade, etc. It supports mainstream large computing power heterogeneous SOC, and can be flexibly matched through hardware board and software configuration to meet the needs of different customers and different models. At the same time, the open architecture design of “ICPAurora” for SOA can meet the rapid integration and deployment of different software application requirements.
The design of ICPAurora follows the evolution towards the integration of memory and computing. On the one hand, it uses specific technologies to make computing and storage as close as possible to alleviate the memory access wall problem. On the other hand, it uses a streaming structure to allow data to be processed in the flow and reduce memory access, energy transfer and loss. Besides, it has built-in packet forwarding hardware accelerators, high-speed Ethernet, PCIE bus, etc., which optimizes the traditional rigid interconnection structure, and uses software to configure interconnection topology, bandwidth and protocols with more flexibilities. Thus the question of how to convert from rigid interconnection to flexible interconnection is well answered.
In terms of safety, it is based on the design of vehicle-level targets and heterogeneous redundancy and meets the high functional safety requirements of ASIL D. Through the normalized design of electronic devices, the number of homogeneous devices and the failure rate is reduced. Through sandwich model thin channel water-cooling plate and intelligent feedback control water-cooling technology, it can meet ultra-high power and heat dissipation. It is based on the integrated die-cast aluminum design, which meets the NVH requirements.
"ICPAurora" incorporates carbon neutrality in its design. Its product size is only half of the total volume of a single domain controller with the same computing power, which can effectively reduce the carbon mass ratio of the vehicle raw materials and improve the energy efficiency ratio of electronic components. Compared with other domain control, "ICPAurora" can reduce energy consumption by about 42% and carbon emissions by about 62%.
