Desay SV Singapore Celebrates Its 10th Anniversary
Desay SV Singapore marks the 10th anniversary this year. The company held the celebration cum its newly expanded office's opening ceremony on 22nd July, 2022.
After more than 2 years of limited work and business interaction in-person, Desay SV Singapore gladly welcomed and hosted a number of commercial and academic partners at the occasion. Over thousands of overseas colleagues in China, Germany, Japan and USA joined the celebration virtually via the live cast.
According to the market intelligence agencies Omdia and GGAI, Desay SV ranked number 1 in Chinese Display System, Radio & Navigation Markets. Globally, Desay SV has been the second biggest supplier for Centre Stack Display & Instrument Cluster Display Markets and came in as 4th position for Total Automotive Application Markets in 2021.
As shared by Mr Azmoon Ahmad, Managing Director of Desay SV Automotive Singapore Pte. Ltd. in his welcome speech, the company has grown leaps and bounds in the past decade. It began as merely a R&D centre providing technology and advance development work. Today, the company runs a full-fledged business operation. It will further ramp up the resources to double its headcounts by 2027 in order to support its headquarter's globalization roadmap and serve as the hub for the region.
Following a bumpy ride in the initial phase of the incorporation, Desay SV Singapore managed to clinch an annual turnover amounted SGD 45mil as of 2021. With the current expansion and development underway, the company is expecting to grow the annual turnover exponentially to SGD 400mil in the next 5 years.
"Currently, we are intensively working on our business expansion into the Indian market through joint venture (JV), which we have sealed an agreement in late 2021, with a local Indian company, Nippon Audiotronix Pvt. Ltd."
Furthermore, Mr Azmoon Ahmad announced on the joint business expansion strategy being finalized with a local partner in Indonesia, PT. Dharma Electrindo Manufacturing (DEM). Likewise the JV in India, Desay SV Singapore will play a pivotal role in providing products, technologies and system solutions.
Locally, Desay SV Singapore is developing the software algorithm in-house to be deployed on their autonomous vehicle (AV) which is on track to achieve the Milestone 2 of AVs safety assessment administered by Land Transport Authority of Singapore. It has meanwhile reached an understanding with a local Singapore company, MooVita Pte. Ltd. to collaborate on offering a state-of-the-art AVs technology and solutions. Signing ceremony of the collaboration agreements with DEM and MooVita were subsequently held along with the event.
Board Chairman of Huizhou Desay SV Automotive Co., Ltd., Mr Tan Choon Lim remarked, “our Singapore office has the most number of different nationalities among Desay SV locations. In addition to sponsoring some of the National University of Singapore's (NUS) post-graduate programs, Desay SV Singapore pledged SGD 10mil over 5 years in the joint R&D collaboration with Nanyang Technological University (NTU) on automotive cyber security since 2019. Professor
Thambipillai Srikanthan, Executive Director of Cyber Security Research Centre @ NTU, commended about the expertise of Desay SV team has ensured the relevance of their research works to application needs in his congratulatory speech to Desay SV Singapore.
In conjunction with the celebration, Desay SV Singapore engineers conducted technology demonstrations related to the domain of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, deep machine learning, cyber security and autonomous driving, where NTU research team participated as well.
